Boston Islamic Center is pleased to welcome back our esteemed former Imam and longtime resident of Boston, Sheikh Abdirazak Hashi.

The distinguished scholar was a leading Imam and committee member of the Boston Islamic Center before relocating to Minneapolis, MN where he continues his Islamic work as the current Imam of Abubakar Masjid.

Due to his long time relationship with Boston Islamic Center and the Somali community of Boston, Sheikh Hashi was more than elated upon hearing news of the Badbaado project (the ongoing campaign to fund and establish a larger and more prominent house of worship in the heart of the city).

To express his feelings of gratitude, Sheikh Hashi will be visiting his beloved city of Boston this weekend, from Friday, April 29th until Sunday, May 1st. He will be coming to inaugurate the ceremonies for the new Masjid project and to show his support to the greater Boston Somali and Muslim communities.

Sheikh Abdirazak Hashi is set to address the public on Saturday, April 30th at the Roxbury YMCA (285 MLK BLVD, Roxbury MA 02129) as part of a general presentation of lectures which are scheduled to  begin promptly at 5:30 PM and end later that evening at approximately 9:30 PM.  Additionally, Sheikh Abdirazak will be giving the Friday sermon the day before.

All are welcome and highly encouraged to attend. We hope to see you all there and pray that Allah swt accepts our deeds and that of the Sheikh.
سلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
