From the Boston Islamic Center to you and your family, Eid Mubarak!
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The day of ‘Arafah, the day of Sacrifice, and the days of al-Tashreeq are our festival, us Muslims, and they are days of eating and drinking.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 773; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Tirmidhi.
So spend today, and the next three days (the days of Tashreeq) eating, drinking, and remembering Allah swt. Be thankful for the blessings Allah swt has bestowed upon you, namely the blessing of guidance and Islam. And reflect unon the words of Imam Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali:
May Allah accept from us, and from you our good deeds.
